In two weeks time I’ll
be at home, taking a rest before Easter and before preparing all of the food the next
day. I’m not joking, it’s true – I’m planning to rest before... resting! My
family is one of those who think that on every holiday or celebration there should
be tons of food on the table. Of course, all of it is unhealthy stuff with
cream, kilograms of sugar etc. I like it, but after eating things like this I
always feel very heavy. Every year there is the same story: we bake cakes, make
salads and other fancy stuff and in the end, everyone eats first course and they
are full. Come on, how much can one person eat?!Then we spend time looking at
all the delicious things on the table, wishing our digestion speeds up, and
finally someone says: “Oh no, look at this! No one is eating anything. Why aren’t
you eating?! If no one eats, next year we won’t prepare so much food!”. I wish for
once it was true!
