Happy birthday to... me!

Source: gotujmy.pl Do you also think that time is passing by really fast? One day you celebrate Easter and it seems like only a few days later you should be looking for a dress for a New Years Eve party. The same happens with birthday. Although mine is in two weeks time (11 th of February), I feel like it’s tomorrow. I’ll be 24! Wow... when I was a little child, people at that age used to seem like elderly ones to me. However, the time has passed and I don’t feel like retiring. Was I wrong then? No. I just had different point of view, a child’s one. The same is happening in my head now: how does it feel to be sixty, for example? When does a person start to feel old? I guess it depends on what you WANT to think about yourself. Age is only a number. It’s up to you how you want to consider this number.

How do you study for exams?

source: naEKRANIE.pl   The first semester is coming to an end, so exams are getting closer, too. Normally, every time I start studying about a month earlier, so as to divide the material in parts. This way, I’m not nervous that I won’t make it on time and everything goes smoother. However, this time I had many problems to resolve and things to care about so I couldn’t instill my normal study plan. I also had to work in January, so there was no possibility to sit with a book and my notes for more than fifteen minutes. I know a lot of people who prefer to start studying on the very las night, but this is not my preferable way to do it. All in all, the first exam is on Tuesday and I have just started revising the material! I hope I’ll make it and if I won’t... there are also some reparatory exams later :)

Caught a cold? Don't panic!

Source: ofeminin.pl So here we go again, the second time in this season that I caught a cold. During winter is difficult to always stay healthy. However, before reaching for popular painkillers, which normally fight the fever, too, try something different first. I love treating a cold with natural methods. They often are more beneficial to our body than synthetic pills. My regular team of fever-fighters consists of: honey, turmeric, garlic, so called dog rose ( rosa canina ) infusion, raspberry juice and lemon. Due to the considerable concentration of vitamin C, they can be very helpful in reducing high temperature, dealing with cough and runny nose. They also act as natural antibiotics which kill the virus. I mix all these things or eat the separately, e.x. I drink several cups of infusions a day and add chopped garlic to what I eat. You are free to add other herbs and stuff you like. The results may not be as fast as when taking a pill, but they do come up and your

Good to be home

Source: Echo Dnia Not every student likes coming back to their hometown. They often find their new city (in which they’re studying) to be more appealing and cool. There are a lot of students who come from villages or really tiny towns and often consider it a bit humbling. However, I don’t. My city is called Radom. It has about 220 000 inhabitants and it’s located about 100km away from Poland’s capital – Warsaw. I like going back here and noticing all the changes that have taken place. I see new shops, decorations, sculptures, bars, upcoming events, restaurants and so on. It’s pleasant to know that your city is being developed. It has its pros and cons, like every other place, but believe me: a few years ago I really had problems finding something interesting in it or a good place to go with friends. But lately it changed and Radom’s main street, Zeromskiego, is full of life, especially during summer. I hope it’ll continue this way and we’ll soon see a lot more interesting thi
